About Us

We are basically two friends, Anne Jones and Ken Cogan, who talked themselves into starting a foundation. It began with a casual conversation about the gaping lack of public attention to men’s cancers – prostate, testicular, and penile. And because of this vacuum, there is a dramatic lack of funding to fight these diseases, and to help those stricken, and their families.

We are not wealthy, nor are we experts in medicine or charitable foundations. But we both had some experience with non-profits, and we were both breathtakingly naive about how difficult it would be to start a charitable foundation.

Since that decision, we have learned a lot. At a wellness center we have listened to a cancer survivor explain how he, reluctantly, chose an offshore pharmacy to supply his prescriptions, reducing his cost to $2300 a month. We have heard a man speak frankly to a large audience about his struggle to regain sexual potency after his prostate surgery. We have read hundreds stories of recovery, and of loss. These are courageous people who are finding their way through a complicated and often baffling system that is not user friendly. Their stories, their journeys, and their experiences light the way for those who follow.

We would like to help illuminate their path so others, too, may find their way.

Our foundation is dedicated to Anne Jones’ grandfather, Lawrence Wood Fowler, who set a shining example of giving back.

If you would like to talk with us, we are available.
